No Free Upgrades to Windows 10 after December 31 – Microsoft
Microsoft announced the expiry date of free upgrades to Windows 10 as December 31, 2017. Post this date, users will not be able to enjoy the free upgrade facility. The company stopped offering free upgrades to Windows 10 in July 2016, however users who are using Microsoft’s accessibility feature, got an extension of that promo.
According to the report, Microsoft quietly edited that page last week and updated the original statement “We will make a public announcement prior to ending the offer” to “The accessibility upgrade offer expires on December 31, 2017”.
Microsoft has updated its ‘Upgrade to Windows 10 FAQ’ page with the expiration date for this offer on October 24, 2017.
The company has started releasing the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update in October this year, thereby adding numerous latest features to the platform. Besides, the company has also announced that the first mixed reality headsets were now available to buy.

Microsoft’s most promising change comes in the form of Fluent Design System. It is revamping the way cross-platform apps look and behave on Windows 10. Among the other new features introduced is Story Remix, for easy video editing, a cloud-powered Clipboard, and OneDrive Files On-Demand.
What is Microsoft Accessibility Feature?
Accessibility features in Windows are options to help users who may have trouble using their computers normally.
